Every year Flower Show will be organized semiannually on the occasions of Republic Day (January) and Independence Day (August) by Horticulture department in Bangalore’s largest park- The Lalbagh Botanical Garden, situated in the middle of the city. The flower show will be at the “Glass House” located in the center of the garden.
This year, the 201st Flower show on account of Republic day was between January 17th and 26th. The main attraction was the model of “Red fort” which was 28 feet high, 40 feet wide and 50 feet long. It was decorated with varied colors of roses. There was also a replica of “Gateway of India”.
On account of Big brother Obama’s visit to India as a chief guest for 66th republic day, a model of “Statue of liberty” was also made.Along with these, there were a wide variety of flowers- Heliotropium, Cineraria, Pinks, Rudbeckia, Phlox, Rose and Velvet which were decorated in a different pattern inside the house. The view was Blissful!

The Historical Watchtower (Kempegowda Tower) built by Nadaprabhu Kempegowda. It is situated at the top of a small hill. The tower is one of the four towers which was built to watch the city in ancient days.
Lalbagh Lake is another tourist attraction. It is spread over an area of 30 acres.
